Frequently Asked Questions

    • Out-of-Network Provider: Dr. Westbrook is an out-of-network provider. You may request a superbill for submission to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed, and coverage questions should be directed to your insurance provider.

    • Medicare: At this time, services are not available for individuals with Medicare.

    • HSA / FSA: HSA funds may be used for services. Some FSA plans may have restrictions. You are encouraged to verify eligibility with your HSA/FSA plan administrator.

  • Effective January 1, 2026:

    • Initial evaluation (60-75 min): $475

    • Follow-up visit (20–25 min): $220

    • Extended follow-up / psychotherapy (40–50 minutes): $330

    • Medication refills outside of scheduled visits: $25 (offered on a case-by-case basis)

    • Prior authorizations: $25 fee may be charged

    • Paperwork (work/school accommodations, FMLA, etc.): $50 fee for letters or forms completed outside of a scheduled appointment

    • Dr. Westbrook currently provides in‑person psychiatric evaluations at Southern Psychiatry’s office in Columbia, South Carolina.

    • For non-urgent clinical questions, you can contact Southern Psychiatry office staff at 803‑764‑3555 to leave a message for Dr. Westbrook. Please allow 24–48 hours for a response.

    • In the event of an emergency or crisis, call 911, 988, South Carolina Mobile Crisis at 833‑364‑2274, or go to your nearest emergency department.

    • Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will incur a late cancellation fee equal to half of the appointment cost.

    • Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice will result in a no-show fee equal to the full appointment cost.

    • Arriving more than 10 minutes late may be considered a late cancellation. In such cases, the appointment may not be completed, a half-fee will be charged, and rescheduling will be required.

    • Arriving after the scheduled appointment time has ended will be considered a no-show. The appointment will not occur, the full fee will be charged, and rescheduling will be required.

  • Telehealth follow-up visits may be offered at the provider’s discretion.
